two new opioid formulations, Oxecta and Lazanda
You'll hear about two new opioid formulations, Oxecta and Lazanda.
Oxecta (OX-ec-tah) is a new tamper-resistant, immediate-release oxycodone tab. It's formulated to discourage potential abusers from crushing, chewing, snorting, or injecting the opioid.
The tab breaks into chunks instead of a powder if crushed...and turns into a gel if mixed with liquid. It also contains sodium laurel sulfate, which irritates the nose if it's snorted.
