Eraxis (anidulafungin) for serious Candida fungal infections
Pfizer will be promoting Eraxis (anidulafungin) for serious Candida fungal infections.
It's similar to Cancidas (caspofungin) and Mycamine (micafungin). These "candins" inhibit formation of the fungal cell wall.
Eraxis is given IV. It will be used for Candida infections in the bloodstream. It's more effective than fluconazole.
