There are now fewer AB-rated generics for Concerta.
Mallinckrodt's and Kudco's methylphenidate ER tabs are no longer AB-rated as bioequivalent to Concerta. This is due to concerns about possibly slower absorption...and decreased efficacy in some patients.
These companies will have until May 2015 to prove their generics are equivalent to Concerta using new testing standards...or take them off the market.
