You'll see a new acne treatment, Differin (adapalene) gel. It will be marketed by Galderma...the makers of Benzac and MetroGel.
Differin is a topical retinoid...in the same class as Retin-A (tretinoin).
It works at least as well as Retin-A 0.025% gel...but it's less likely to cause skin irritation. This may be partly because Differin is a water-based gel...Retin-A gel contains alcohol.
